Montour Preserve Program

THIS EVENT IS PART OF OUR SUMMER READING PROGRAM.

Registration is required for every Summer Reading program.
In order to sign-up for events each child:
1. Must be registered for summer reading.
2. Must be an active participant in the program.
3. Must have one family member with a library card in good standing.
Join us at 1:00pm, with Jon Beam from Montour Preserve, as he presents his program: Tales of Tails.
A look at the Native American folklore and natural history of a few of our native animals. These stories will give the Native American explanation of why the opossum’s tail is bare, why bear has a short tail and how turtle won a swimming contest over beaver. We’ll discuss each animal and how it makes its living here in Pennsylvania.
This event will be held outside in Central Park, next to the Library, unless the weather is bad.
